About Us

Borkholder Archery is a full service archery pro shop with over 50 years of combined experience in the archery and hunting fields. It doesn't matter if you are a first time archer or an experienced bowhunter. We aim to please you, the customer. Without the satisfied customers we are nothing. Borkholder Archery had a very modest begining in 1998, starting in a corner carved out of Loren Borkholder's garage. Loren relocated and modified the store on a number of occasions due to the rapid growth of the business. Just recently, Loren made the decision to expand the shop again. Borkholder Archery is doubling its retail floor space to more than 3000 square feet. As part of this expansion, Loren has decided to devote his full attention to the shop as his full time job. This enables him to keep up with his ever-expanding customer base. He loves his job and is grateful to be able to spend his working hours to a career that he enjoys.

The shop is located in the heart of the midwest where whitetail deer are plentiful. Although he has a turkey and a antelope on his wall, bowhunting whitetails is in his blood.

One of the unique things we do at Borkholder Archery is the SUPERTUNE. (Please check out the supertune section on the website). Just bring in or send us your bow and we will inspect, service and tune your bow with a state of the art machine that actually shoots your bow. It takes the human element out and creates a consistent shot over and over again. This allows us to tune arrows(length and spine), rest, nock point, and cam timing to achieve a perfect "bullet hole" through the paper. That gives you the confidence to know your bow is "dialed in".
